Re-Reading Seth, Oversoul Seven ~ What I’ve Learned

Posted by dianed101 on November 3, 2009

Part I

I started reading Oversoul Seven again a couple weeks ago, slowly at first then in the last week I really sped up and finished the first book and on to the second.  This time I decided to mark out passages that I wanted to remember, so I merrily made my way though the book, outlining my way and boy did I (re)discover some new/old things and some important truths that seem to carry a lot of weight in the grand scheme.  So bang, an opportunity came just today to put my new/profound insight and/or method to work.20grByJanosh

First, here’s a short outline of what I learned anew:

All of time is living, active and changeable.

In the past, present and future, there also resides a past, present and future in each one of them.  That in itself implies that all of the past,  present and future can be changed.

How to effect the change that you might desire in the past, present or future?

This is how I think it can work:

You go back in time to each of the places that were decisive, forks in the road, unpleasant times that shaped the you that you are now, the times you wished you had done or said more, the times you walked away or stayed to long;  and you change it.

Use the you that you are now, with all your wisdom, love and understanding and change the forks, the paths, the people, the times, the events, all of it, change it to be as you would wish now.

Imagine yourself with a loved one during a disagreement, paint the scene with love and imagine you solved the problem without a fight, that you ended it with loving and caring.  Imagine that you didn’t go on that date that set you down a path with a partner that would send your life careening towards destruction.

Now don’t expect that this will actually physically change the present time frame reality, (people will not disappear or appear) but rather that it adds a new layer and dimension to that which Became and especially that which became you

Be your wise future you that realizes just in time this is not the way I really want to go.  Then go on to paint each encounter, each unpleasantness, each angry and hurt felt moment with loving energy and right activity. Read the rest of this entry »

The Power of Fear

Posted by chakracher on August 12, 2008

I realized last week that humans make decisions based on many levels – one of the most powerful being that of fear.  This hit home when my daughter changed candidates based on an email thread.  My daughter is a bright, well-read and beautiful woman who belongs to a fairly conservative church and has done a great job of balancing her beliefs with justice and fairness to all.  Making a decision based on an email thread didn’t fit her style.  If she had gleaned this information through her intensive Biblical studies, well, then I would have understood!

The more we talked, the more I realized that what is really frightening her was something deeply personal and earth shattering to her foundation.  Then I got it.

I know of times when I was consumed with fear about a perceived threat, and how that fear permeated the rest of my perceptions.  I build an energetic moat to protect myself from those threats – real, imagined, or too vague to tell.  Nothing escaped my cynical view.  I was wary and ready, survival was the key.

Today I read a piece that claimed that recessions are the result of collective fear.  It reminded me of the bank run in “Its a Wonderful Life”.  George Bailey watched his customers swarm into his bank to withdraw their money, because they were sure the bank was folding.  George met the issue head on.  He talked to each person from his heart, reminding them that we are all connected.  He used their unified effort to save themselves as a way for them to work together for the common good of everyone.

George’s lessons reverberate in my soul.  My mission is to remind my daughter that she can trust and embrace the Good that is available to all of us.  She is powerful.  So are we all.  And in that power, we can lift each other out of the bog of fear and into the connectedness of trust and awareness of each other.  Together, we can change the nature of what plagues us.  Maybe that is the mission we are all challenged to take.

Its a place to start.

Problems

Posted by whisel on August 6, 2008

“There is no such thing as a problem without a gift for you in its hands.
You seek problems because you need their gifts.
Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah
                                                     by Richard Bach”

It helps me to remember wise sayings when I’m in a bind because sometimes I just get all caught up in the challenge and then I think that’s all there is. Every problem has a discordant vibration that tickles the fancy of a problem-solver. I have to remember to pause and look at the piece as if it were an inspiration. Every problem has a malfuntioning gear that entices the interest of a creative inventor.

I have to remember to examine the whole picture for opportunities that might lead me to somewhere fascinating. Every problem has an unsuspecting clue for explorers who wish for adventure.

I have to remember not to blow a gasket, not to go psychotic, not to jump up and down while beating that problem to death. There are no gifts for problem killers. And being cross at daily frustrations really takes the fun out of life.
Again…. more practice. More awareness. And yes, more humor and laughter. I just HAVE to remember. How about you? Do you welcome challenges for the gifts they bring?

Best wishes, Whisel*

Know Thyself, but I Digress…

Posted by whisel on July 24, 2008

Though I may question purpose and reality

for reason and rationality…

beyond the final mystery I have no doubt

there is a lens through which a mystic figure sees.

A conglomerate of me and thee, and she and he

and that which is just the one voice speaking:

There are no mistakes or second-guesses.

There is only that which the heart confesses.”

If that is what it is…. I must agree.

Ironic that I see the glass half-full

even after downing the vague liquid

to the last dregs of understanding,

yet still I do not know why the thirst remains.

The moment waxes. The moment wanes.

Some secret sense judges me for casting a shadow

no one else can see, white and plain,

not complicated or draped in gold, not velvet, satin

or crimson bold… just a shadow of who I imagine

myself to be…. tall, white, translucent, on the cusp of cloudy.

Maybe I am transparent to no one but me.

I crawl over each word in my note, hoping to extract

a clearer meaning than just a puzzling poem, but no…

I seemed to have crossed a border line of ambiguity,

knowing all I have to offer

are the symptoms of the character … I Am,

when I was on my way to becoming someone

I thought I might be.

I am the voice

Posted by shirlstars on July 14, 2008

I AM the Voice of people.

I Am the Voice of gentle awakening.

I Am the VOICE of remembrance.

I Am the Voice reminding you.

I Am the Voice you have been waiting for.

Where is it I AM not, for I AM everywhereWho is it I AM not, for I AM everyone

Within the silence there is music, it is not to hear but feel
touching the potential. . . there arises form
reach out your heart for it is there I AM

Clay in the sculptor’s hand is but a pulse of music
flowing through the soul

If you wait it is there, if you create it is here
send forth the knowing and know

In your tears there are oceans yet unborn
In your words there are wings unfurled
In you there is that which I AM

Look not with your eyes but see with the being of Love

There cannot be more than this for I AM All That IS.

Suspended Animation?

Posted by scribe40 on July 2, 2008

Such a difficult state of affairs, to float suspended between dimensions.

The body stays put, while the spirit gets on with detatching from physical moorings, insisting on going it’s own way, heading down pathways that simply do not exist on earth..

…..leaving the rest of me, my merely-human parts, (mind and emotions), caught somewhere in between, crying out “What about US? Where do we go, what do we do now?”, like frightened orphans turned out in the cold..all alone..seeing only the retreating backs of both parents…an unbearable thing, …

…mind/emotion races desperately after spirit, wanting to go with it..stay with it, be with it always….only to get snapped back hard, like a huge rubber band..by the other end still attached to body..

…stunned breathless and scared…for it is clear that the body is not long for this world, (and ..”THEN what will happen, what will happen, WHAT WILL HAPPEN??!! Will “we” just DIE? “)

..so..the cycle begins again..mind/emotion, choosing spirit, pulls so hard to go after it, to catch up with it..stay with it…stretching..stretching..trying to either bring body along, or else break free of it…..be free…until, over and over…SNAP-BOOM!.. flat on back stunned again…

This is very tiring.

Solstice Celebration and Retirement

Posted by shirlstars on June 24, 2008

On Saturday evening I met with a group of like-minded people whom are former members of our “spiritual/metaphysical” group that met regularly from 2001 through 2004. Different ones of us gather together occasionally now and then to enjoy each other’s company.

This particular group are more connected with Earth Centered beliefs and Native American spiritual traditions, sort of their emphasis on things in their spiritual lives. They had a bon fire and drumming and celebration of the Summer Solstice (that actually came in on Friday at 5:59 pm MDST), dancing and singing and toning. There was a meditation for healing of the earth. There was a power animal meditation. There was laughter, good feelings, sharing, catching up on things during the intervening months since we have last been together.

Numbers

Posted by whisel on June 19, 2008

So today I finished up my two week grocery list and coded each item by catalogue number. I order my food from a delivery service and every product has a five digit code number. That’s food for two adults and three cats.

Then I thought about the stash of vitamins and supplements I take, realizing I was running low. So I listed them out, checked my inventory, counting out what I needed and placed an online order.

Next I reviewed my packet of stamps, figuring out how many more of what denominations I needed to order to bring my assortment to combined totals of 42 cents each.

I was tempted to balance my checking account, being on a roll of sorts, but I was already dizzy, so I decided to move on to exercises and a more recreational evening. I counted out a moderate amount of leg lifts, stomach crunches and arm twirls. Then I spent a couple hours applying myself to my paint-by-number masterpiece. Go figure!

Do you ever have days that seem to be locked into a particular mode of expression? It seems kinda weird, but that’s a Full Moon for ya :-)

Caramel

Posted by whisel on June 14, 2008

Almost caramel. That’s what I taste if I close my eyes and savor the melted cheddar cheese with olive oil. Caramel, like the taffy apples I made in high school that would not come off the waxed paper.

Caramel, like the popcorn mix sold downtown at Garrett’s in Chicago with white and cheddar popcorn. Caramel, like trick-or-treat goodies on Halloween. like the smell of the Indiana Beach boardwalk with deep fried, powdered elephant ears, rides for the kids, shooting galleries and prize booths for the older ones, dance halls and beer gardens and fireworks at night. Caramel, that luscious but deadly tooth destroyer, appointments at the dentist office before topical anesthetic or any of the pleasantries of manner or method, in that dental chair tense and trembling, drills of torture, one step lower than wide-awake brain surgery.

But ah, caramel! Formed into chocolate, nutty turtles given at holidays, a token of love or lust. The caramel color of the beach at Lake Michigan and 47th Street and of the devoted beach goers parading their shades of creamy browns up and down the shore line. Brachs candy, each wrapped separately. Buy it by the pound. Holloway suckers. Milk duds. Soft caramel insides. Hard caramel toffee outside.

My imagination brings up all the savory memories attached to the taste of caramel. Tastes and smells are hypnotic, easily pulling to mind the visuals of past experiences.

Is there a particular smell or taste that reminds you of places and people in your life?

Best wishes, Whisel*

What’s Coming Up Next In Transformative Energy

Posted by shirlstars on June 11, 2008

.
.
Greetings to each of you from the light, within the light and with the light. The light is truth.
.
A great event comes to you this week. We reiterate with an explanation and will then elaborate:
It is that you have entered into reconstruction of your reality. The very fabric of which you are created is being rewoven. That which has been the harmonic arrangement which creates harmonic resonance of you and all other things is being rewritten as a symphony of changes.
